AKA When you find yourself saying, “But I don’t have tiiiiime!!”
No, there is always time. All of these help keep my own sexual energy topped up. Take these as inspiration or ideas, and take what works for you and discard the rest.
1. I always wear nice underwear
I always wear pretty and comfy bras that I adore. At the moment I just wear black cotton knickers because I sweat a lot and can be prone to thrush (yeowch), but these are still NICE black cottons that they are a design that flatters my bum and I feel good in. I bet you can find underwear that flatters you and feels good to wear too.
2. I always wear some form of scent and have it in my bag
Scent is important to me and is one of my strongest senses. I am a natural perfume connosieur and I always keep some diluted jasmine oil in my bag for a quick pick-me-up.
3. I wear clothes that flatter me in colours and styles that work for me and I adore
A few years ago I had a style and colour consultation and it was worth every penny because I can easily shop for exactly what styles make me feel good. My rule of thumb with clothes, does it make me feel, “Ba-BOW”, when I put it on? Then I keep it.
4. I nearly always make my daily showers a mini ritual
I use aromatic shower gel (usually lavender), spend time savouring the sensations, use nice smelling body cream, a do a mini face massage at the end.
5. I usually have my toenails painted, and love getting manicures when I have the time/inclination
The pops of colour and sight of nice nails gives me a mini boost throughout the day.
6. I have regular dance/shake/stretch breaks throughout the day
Moving my body keeps my energy regular and me feeling resourced. It also infuses fun and play into my day, and doing arse shaking keeps my sexual energy topped up.
7. I drink NICE tea and make it a ritual
Ideally loose leaf, but not always.
8. I include my sexual energy in all my regular practices
Yoga, walking, dancing, whatever. I’ll do a couple of kegels, make contact with my vulva, and intentionally pull my sexual energy around.
None of these take a huge amount of time, and they are now so much part of my life I don’t think about them much.
What if you could let yourself be more high maintenance, and deliberately orient to pleasure and what feels good?
