Better Sexual Communication With Your Partner- Quoted in The Body Magazine

Do you want to know a secret to satisfying sex and intimacy? No, it’s not having a perfect lover, nor is it having lots of experience, or acting like a pornstar, it’s how you communicate.

Despite what we see depicted in movies, TV, and in porn, great sex doesn’t just happen all by itself where you both instantly climax. Learning how to communicate better in bed about what you like, what you don’t like, what sexual health precautions you are using, and your STI status, will be your sexual superpower to having more great sex.

I was quoted in this piece by Gigi Engle in The Body Magazine on what I think makes great sexual communication.

Before you can have open conversations about your sexual needs, it’s very important to figure out what the heck those needs even are. Lucy Rowett, a certified sex coach and clinical sexologist, tells TheBody that the best way to figure out what you like sexually is to start small and work your way up to the bigger, sexier things. Start with these questions: “How do you like to be kissed? Where? How do you like to be touched, where, and when? If you could have the most perfect and exquisite sex, what would happen and what would it feel like?”

The piece also mentions my 6 part audio series on how to get better at sexual communication.
